Peles Blue

by Bruce Allen Oatway

/

about

Peles Blue was written while I was staying on the Big Island of Hawaiii and recorded on a Macbook Garage Band in the off grid cabin in Ulupalakua, Maui
I used a SM58 mic, 1984 Roland D-50, my ZumaChief ES##% and my 1980 Gurian acoustic going through and old Boss 16trk mixer.
I think it one of my most soulful recordings ever.

lyrics

In the pale moonlight she gets it right, she lays it down
Fire & stone, she makes her home, she lays it down
Ribbons of red, her long black dreads, she lays it down
Smoke & ash, her spell is cast, she lays it down

Stars around her, but sh'e all alone
In an endless sea, kissed with foam
She lays it down.

Tears of Glass for lover past, she lays it down
She's dreaming of a love of loves, she lays it down
Sad but true, Peles blue, she lays it down
