Theres no one that hasn't suffered, some more than others.I wanted to write a simple some to empathize with others.
I got some lyrical help from my friend Donna Lee, a poet and artist.
Orignally I was going for a strictly acoustic track but adding some beef to it helps it move along. As some fans know I am self produced and do my best to layer each track and instrument as if it were a band ( I wish it were).
I've also mastered out the mix so it should be smooth on any device.

Billy got his pink slip, ain’t that a shame.
Now he’s selling umbrellas but there ain’t no rain
Lucy caught ‘em cheatin’, broke her poor heart
Took the keys to his car but the car won’t start.
It’s a sad situation, hard to ignore

Grandma makin’ moonshine, good for her heart
creakin’ like a rocker in an old tin shack
Bats in the attic, ghosts under the bed
If she don’t get some sleep she’s gonna wake up dead.

Back on the road it all comes round to me.
I got my headlights on but it’s still too dark to see.

Ol’ Doc made a house call, ain’t got no degree.
Wrote a precription but the drugs ain’t free.
Lost a few lovers, family and friends.
You never really know what’s around the bend.
