SEND A MESSAGE

about

I wrote this in the late 70s and just recorded this finally as a tribute to my first love who passed away 2 years ago. She taught me that love never dies.

lyrics

SEND A MESSAGE

We met on by the ocean side
She was barely seventeen
That was a long time ago
But I still have those dreams
When kisses ran like honeycomb
All summer night and day
Til her daddy got those transfer papers
And they all moved away

Send a message to my love. Tell her I didn't know
Her love would follow me down like Hawaiian snow
Send a message to my love Tell her now that I see
She was better off loving someone Better off than me

Followed her 3000 miles ran like a hurricane
caught up with her for just a moment
then she disappeared again
I'll always remember her
How we danced in the wind
If I could go back in time I'd do it all over again
